It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

I'm so happy to be back in my groove of reading all my favorite blogs (on blog lovin) and to be blogging again. I had a nice little vacation but this seems to keep me on my toes.

These shots were taken a few days ago when it was super warm and sunny here in St. John's. It didn't last for long; although it was sunny the past two days, it wasn't very warm. It's nice out today though, and although I haven't stepped outside, I'm praying that it's warm again. Not that it would matter, because after this post, I have to clean the house. My dad is coming to town on Monday for my convocation/graduation from Memorial University, and I want everything to be perf. Plus, he's meeting my hubby for the first time. I am almost tempted to make cue cards for Adrian on good conversation topics he can have with my dad, but I think that's just me being paranoid. They have the best thing in common: ME. I bet they'll just be talking about how frikken adorable I am the entire time. C'mon, the following picture are PAH-RETT-Y cute.

dress: jessica simpson (similar). cardigan: old navy (old). clutch: aldo. shoes: clarks, earrings: aldo (old). sunglasses: american apparel (vintage).

Hope you enjoyed this post, and if you did, comment! share! follow on bloglovin! Essentially, make me feel loved and appreciated. If you're too lazy to do any of these things, well FINE. And thanks for visiting.

Disney Darling

Hello blogging world!

I've had a nice vacation from all responsibilities over the past few weeks. Once exams were done, I headed to my home town of Corner Brook and had an amazing time with all of my oldest and bestest (yes, I'm using the word bestest) friends.

After returning back to St. John's, I spent many hours embracing the nerd within me and played minecraft with my boyfriend and our friends. We literally had minecraft parties. One friend even said "I think this is better than drinking" which in all honesty is the most accurate thing I've heard since finishing school. For those of you who don't know what minecraft is, take a look here. It just came out for xbox 360 and it's amazing. But be warned: once you start playing it, you must dig down into the depths of your soul and self control to complete simple tasks like eating or going to the bathroom, let alone taking longer breaks to be productive.

Alas, the minecrafting had to come to an end so I could prepare myself for a Disney Vacation with my family! Below are a few highlights of the trip.

Me and my celebration button; it says "My Magical Triumph" for graduating university!
"Be good at something, it makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome"

Giraffes that we saw while on our jungle safari!

An elephant reaching up into the tree to get some NOMS.

We went to this cute retro restaurant in Hollywood Studios that had fun and fancy drinks. I got to keep my glowing ice cube : )

I meant to take a picture of my sushi plate before I started eating, but was too excited and started to chow down once it arrived at our table. As you can see, the plate is mangled and for good reason; the sushi was amazing.

This is the view from our hotel room. Magic Kingdom is the glowing blue spot on the left. I was lucky to capture this firework with the pretty heart : )

The best hotdog EVER found on main street in Magic Kingdom.  It's called the Chicago; it's a huge ballpark wiener, pulled pork, coleslaw and barbecue sauce.

I had an amazing time with my mom, step-dave (as we like to call him), my step sisters, my cousin and my grandmother.  I wish that my older sister Leyna could have joined us, but she was busy getting her masters degree and the Richard Ivey School of Business (like a boss).

Expect an outfit post tomorrow! I would have shared it today but I wanted to give some highlights as to why I've been M.I.A. the past few weeks. But now I'm BACK (<-- click the word, you know you want to).

I'm Alive!

I ensure all of you that I'm still alive and well and I have not forgotten about my precious blog! Truth be told I am enjoying doing absolutely nothing now that my degree is finished.  I went to my home town for a week and had lots of fun, now I'm just relaxing with my hubby until I go to Disney World on Monday! Hopefully I'll have a post for you before then, but for now, just bear with me. I'm having wayyyy too much fun being completely unproductive and sitting on my butt all day.

This is a great opportunity to have a look at the following page to see whose blogs I like to read!

Enjoy your day : )
